Dávid has completed his Bachelor and Master studies in Computer Science with excellent grades in Eötvös Loránd Universtiy, Budapest, Hungary. He specialized in programming languages and compilers with a strong theoretical background. After receiving his Master’s Degree in 2012, he participated in both academic and industrial projects, and gained experience in software development on different levels of abstraction as well as knowledge on design and implementation questions of programming languages.
He joined the oCPS project February 2016. Dávid is now pursuing a PhD at Vienna University of Technology as an industrial PhD candidate. His work deals with scheduling issues of mixed-critical embedded systems on state-of-the-art hardware platforms. He has planned secondments at INCHRON GmbH, Germany and TU/e, the Netherlands. His research interest also involves various aspects of compiler technology, thus he is contributing to the development of an LLVM-based compilation toolchain at his industrial host, Imsys AB, Sweden.

Precious Ugo Abara received his Bachelor's Degree in Information Engineering and his Master's Degree in Automation Engineering in 2012 and 2014, respectively, from the University of Padova, Italy. His master thesis was carried out in collaboration with Linköping University where he was also visiting researcher from April 2015 to July 2015. He has joined the project May 1st 2016 working at the Chair of Information-Oriented Control, Technische Universität München, Germany under the supervision of Prof. Sandra Hirche, and with planned secondments in Siemens, Germany and TNO, The Netherlands. His research interests include stochastic control, optimization of large-scale Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), positive systems, networked controlled systems with resource constraints and event-triggered control.

Pouya Mahdavipour did his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering at Center of Excellence of Power Systems Automation and Operation, Iran University of Science and Technology, Tehran, Iran. Currently he is a Ph.D. student at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. He has joined the project on May 10th 2016, working at the Mechatronics and Embedded Control Systems research group, under the supervision of Prof. Martin Törngren and Dr. Lei Feng. His research interests include dynamical systems, control systems, optimization of large-scale Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), and dependency modeling.
Research topic: Model-based Architecting and tool support for concurrent engineering of Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS).
Nilay Saraf is currently working as an industrial PhD researcher at ODYS S.r.l. with academic affiliation to IMT school for advanced studies in Lucca, Italy.
He received the master of science degree (MSc.) in Control engineering in 2015 from the Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands. His master’s thesis project titled ‘Predictive control for capacity controlled heat pumps in a smart grid scenario’ was carried out in collaboration with the Fraunhofer institute for solar energy systems in Freiburg, Germany. Nilay has a former study background in Mechanical engineering and he received his bachelor of engineering degree (B.E. Mech) from the University of Mumbai, India in 2013.
Mladen Čičić received his four year Bachelor's and one year Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, with focus on Control Systems, in 2014 and 2015, respectively, from the School of Electrical Engineering of University of Belgrade, Serbia. His bachelor thesis was carried out in collaboration with IHP – Innovations for High Performance Microelectronics, Frankfurt (Oder) where he was also an engineering intern from June to December 2014 as a part of Zoran Djindjic Internship Program of German Business.
He has joined the project April 15th 2016 working at the Department of Automatic Control, Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan, Stockholm, Sweden under the supervision of Prof. Karl Henrik Johansson, and with planned secondments in Scania, Sweden and TNO, The Netherlands. His research interests include networked controlled systems, distributed control of cyber-physical systems (CPS) and automated transport systems.

Sajid Mohamed received his Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut, India in 2008. He received his Master’s degree (M.Tech.) in Embedded Controls and Software from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur in 2014. His master thesis was carried out in collaboration with Institute of Real-time Computer Systems, Technische Universität München, Germany, where he was a DAAD scholar from September 2013 to March 2014. He worked as a research assistant at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur from July 2014 to April 2016.
He has joined the project on June 1st 2016, working at the Electronic Systems group, Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands, under the supervision of Prof.dr.ir Twan Basten and Dr. Dip Goswami. He has planned secondments with ODYS S.r.l., Italy and Ericsson, Sweden. His research interests include design, modelling and analysis of cyber-physical systems, formal methods for abstraction, verification and control of hybrid systems and timing analysis.

Aida Rashidinejad received her M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering
(majoring in Control) from Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT),
Tehran, Iran in 2014. Since July 1st 2016, she has joined the project
working at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Eindhoven
University of Technology (TU/e), Eindhoven, The Netherlands under
the supervision of Prof. dr. ir. Maurice Heemels and Dr.ir. Michel
Reniers. There are two planned secondments for her in KTH, Sweden
and Siemens, Germany. Her research interests include control theory,
cyber-physical and networked control systems, supervisory control of discrete-event
systems, robotics, etc.

Asad Ullah Awan received his Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering in 2008, from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Pakistan. He received the Master’s degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the Seoul National University (SNU), Republic of Korea in 2013. He worked as a lecturer at the Department of Mechatronics, NUST, Pakistan from 2013 to 2016.
He joined the oCPS project in June 2016, working at the Hybrid Control Systems Group (HCS), Technical University of Munich (TUM), Germany under the supervision of Prof. Majid Zamani. His secondments are planned at the Eindhoven University of Technology (TUE) and Scania. His research interests include control and estimation of stochastic hybrid systems, network control systems, formal synthesis of stochastic hybrid systems, and adaptive control of nonlinear systems.

Deepak Vedha Raj Sudhakar received his Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Madras Institute of Technology, Anna University, India in 2009 and his Master's Degree in Embedded Systems and Minor degree in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Eindhoven University of Technology and Technical University of Berlin in 2015 being part of the European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT) Digital Masters School . His master thesis was carried out in collaboration with NXP Semiconductors and he has prior industry experience as an Embedded software engineer for automotive pioneers Bosch and BMW.
He has joined the project on June 1st working at INCHRON GmbH, Germany under the supervision of Dr. Karsten Albers from INCHRON GmbH and under academic supervision of Prof. Dr. Frank Slomka from University of Ulm and with planned secondments in Imsys AB , Sweden and Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands. His research interests include wireless communication, wireless networks, sensor networks, networked embedded systems, real time systems, embedded systems and automotive systems.

Myrthe van Delft received her Bachelor’s Degree in Technische Informatica and her Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering, from the Technical University of Eindhoven, The Netherlands. For her master thesis she formalized the theory of consistent consequences on BES in the proof assistant Coq.
Myrthe has joined the project on August 1st 2016, working in the department of dependability engineering under the supervision of Harald Rueß, and with planned secondments at the Technical University of Eindhoven and Technolution, both based in the Netherlands. Her research interests include formal methods and correct by construction synthesis of systems.

Hadi is a Ph.D. student in Control Systems Technology (CST) Group at Mechanical engineering department of Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). He received his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) in Sept. 2013. Meanwhile, he was a member of New Technologies Research Center (NTRC) of Amirkabir university of Technology. He focused on the vibration control utilizing piezoelectric elements. He received his M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in Sept. 2015 with the focus on Swarm Robotic Control. Then he started working in the SAMITCO Company. Automotive ECU calibration and Control of Combustion Engines were his main focus in that Company. Now, as a member of Optimization of Cyber-Physical Systems (oCPS) program, he is working on the Decentralized Event-Triggered Control (DETC) strategies under the supervision of Prof. Maurice Heemels and Dr. Duarte Antunes. His research interests include Control Theory, Optimization and Robotics.
Marina Rantanen Modéer received her MSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Civilingenjörsexamen i Maskinteknik) in 2013 from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, after her MSc Degree in General Management from the SSE Stockholm School of Economics in 2011. During her studies in 2009/2010 she was the editor in chief of Osqledaren - Sweden’s largest technology magazine for students. In 2012/2013 she was selected for a young professionals’ program at HiQ/Scania where she worked with test automation and truck driving simulator development. She then moved on as a graduate robotics engineer at the European Space Agency in the Netherlands 2013-2015 working on the European Robotic Arm and the Multi-purpose-End-To-End-Robotic-Operations-Network. In 2015/2016 she was a research engineer in the Smart Mobility Lab at KTH developing visualizations of connected mobility. Since August 1st 2016 she is a doctoral candidate at the Process Dynamics and Operations Group in the Department of Biochemical and Chemical Engineering at Technische Universität Dortmund under the supervision of Prof. Dr-Ing Sebastian Engell.
Sayandip De received his Bachelor's Degree (B.Tech) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Kalyani Government Engineering College (KGEC), India in 2014. He received his Master's Degree (M.Tech) in VLSI Design from Indian Institute of Engineering Science & Technology (IIEST) Shibpur, India in 2016. He has joined the project on October 19th 2016, working at the Electronic Systems Group, Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands, under the supervision of Prof. Henk Corporaal. He has planned secondments in Inst. For Embedded Systems/ Real-time Systems, University of Ulm, Germany and Inst. Of Computer Technology, Vienna Institute of Technology, Austria. His research interests include advanced computer architecture, approximate computing, low power system and circuit design etc.
